It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Sorry about that….I won’t bother trying to make up all the details of my life for the last month, so I’ll just give you the latest tidbit. A couple of my friends and I got together last Saturday for a Sewing day! We all picked out a very simple elastic band skirt pattern and then went to Joanne’s fabrics in Galesburg.

I’m not sure if it was just the season or that particular store, but the fabric selection was pathetic. It took us a couple hours to find anything that would even sort of suit our purposes. We then had lunch at Steak ‘n’ Shake. (Thanks for the coupons, Mary!)

We then went back to my place and sewed until the girls’ husbands needed them back. Here’s what we came up with:

Sorry it’s so fuzzy. I can assure you that it’s not out of focus to merely obscure the workmanship.

My skirt is the same pattern as theirs, but I made it several years ago, so it’s kind of on its last leg.
